My wife and I usually drive from our home in southeastern Connecticut to the large, better known ski resorts in Vermont when we want a taste of the winter sport. But a friend of ours suggested we try out Wachusett Mountain. So, we did just that yesterday. And we were pleasantly surprised with the mountain, the facilities and mostly your staff. Everyone was so nice! It's amazing what "smiles" will do for you when you ask questions about the facilities, how to go about purchasing lift tickets, and so on. I just sent an e-mail to our college-age children telling them we're looking forward to going back to Wachusett when they come in for their next break. Just wanted to pass along my thanks for making us feel so welcome. Hope the rest of your season goes well.
Kind Regards,

I wanted to drop you a line regarding my experiences at Wachusett Mountain. Let start off by telling you that I am a 45 year old man who has never skied or snowboarded …ever. I decided to try snowboarding and planned on taking a lesson a couple of days after Christmas. I became even more apprehensive the closer I got to the mountain. What happened next is the reason I write you. Upon arriving at the ticket booth I was approached by an older gentleman – your greeter, who set me at ease immediately as if he sensed my anxiety (I wish I remembered his name). My apprehension disappeared and with every encounter with a member of your staff and me excitement grew. taught me exceptionally well. He’s a pretty cool and knowledgeable kid. I had a wide smile on my face the entire hour plus ride home. – I called with concern about making the long ride and about the conditions and lesson availability. He convinced me it was worth the trip and ensured that a lesson would be available. I couldn’t wait to get there. Upon arriving my instructor was Gus. He too was incredible. Ended up having one the best days I can remember in a long time. I was amazed at how well I did … I think Gus was too. The ride home was more like floating. I giggled to myself the whole ride thinking about my rides down the slope, Gus’ instruction and his joy that I was doing well and even Gus’ concern when I had a fairly hard wipe out but when I bounced and continued the ride Gus was laughing about it as much as I was and he congratulated me on my first "superman" … a great great day!. I just wanted to offer you some positive feedback. I will be back again and again thanks to Colin, Matt and Gus. What a great facility and staff. "Wheels" Wheeler

...We had two unbelievable days at the end of last week at Wachusett and had a blast. Great spring sun, skiing and we love the grill going outside. We felt after skiing at least 5 other places in two weeks that we were home skiing at Wachusett. Your staff really does such an incredible job, and after a long winter, your lift attendants and waiters, and cafeteria guys are still MEGA friendly. I know that my husband always tells you that, and this year has been no exception. - A Wachusett Fan

Just want to take a moment to say how much we enjoyed your Applefest last Sunday. Our family had a great time and the fest itself was well organized and arranged. Good job! The variety of events was incredible. Thanks and see you again in the snow season."

"We visited Wachusett Sat. afternoon, 2/1/03 for the first time. My 8 yr. old had a great time in Polar Kids - Deb was his instructor and she was fantastic!
I rented equipment and got to ski w/ friends. As a rusty beginner, I wasn't intimidated at all.
I'm writing to say that I was so impressed by the employees at Wachusett. Almost (there was only one minor exception) every single person that we encountered was pleasant, smiling, helpful and had a great attitude! How do you do it??? Where do you find these young people????
It was an expensive afternoon, and it took us 1 1/2 hours to get there - but it was definitely worth it! I was confident my son was safe and in good hands, the atmosphere is relaxed, the size of the mountain is manageable (especially for beginners) and the staff is so helpful. We can't wait to go back! Thanks for the newsletter. I'd also like to thank you and the whole staff at Mount Watchusett for the recent excellent service they provided to me and my family. Here is a summary of events:
Saturday, March 9th, my son Alex was hurt on the slopes. Rescue was there in two seconds flat and very professionally transferred Alex to Leominster ER. You've met my expectations of service.
Sunday, March 10th - Mount Watchusett called my house to check on Alex'swellbeing - OK, now I'm wowed - I'm thinking great service.
A couple of days later Alex received a personal card from Mt. Watchusett.
I'm now very impressed and talking to my neighbors and friends. Excellent service, keep it up.
Friday, March 22nd - We're back to have another fun-no-injury day at Mt.Watchusett (son, nephew and I). While waiting in the ticket line, I realized the teenage boy in front didn't have enough money for his ticket. So, I offered to pay the balance and did. The ticket clerk smiled at me and asked if I knew the young man, I didn't. He then returned my ticket purchase money and gave me a free-ski day. Well! Now I'm loyal for life! I was very impressed at the empowerment you gave this young man. Keep up the good work.
Sincerely and respectfully yours,
Patzi
My family and I recently visited your facility again over the school vacation. Although my family and I unfortunately only get to Ski once or twice a year, my 3 boys always request to go back to Wachusett. I am always willing to oblige them as every trip there has been nothing but a hassle free and fun day. Conditions on the Mountain have always been good no matter what the weather and the people who work there from the customer service booth to the Ski Rental shop have always had my boys outfitted and on the slopes in a quick, polite, and efficient manner. As a family that lives on a tight budget and looks for the most for our dollar I always leave your mountain with a good and happy feeling that my family was treated right. I always recommend your Ski slope to my friends as a great place to go. You should be proud of your facilty and staff and I look forward to returning soon.
Thankfully yours,
Gary Murray

I ended up having a blast. I wish to point out to you a wonderful young instructor… Colin was exceptional. A 14 year old kid put me at ease, encouraged and
I took yesterday off and went out for another lesson. Spoke with Matt Leland on the telephone and we talked for a few minutes
I could go on and on..
Thank you,
Greg
