Salomon Snowboards and Wachusett Mountain to Host Second Annual East Coast Invitational Rail Jam
Riders to Compete for $15,000 Purse!!

PRINCETON, Ma. – Salomon Snowboards has teamed up again with Wachusett Mountain to host a professional rail jam snowboard event in December that would offer one of the largest cash purses at a New England snowboard competition.

The 2nd Annual East Coast Invitational Rail Jam will be held Saturday, December 17.  The rail jam event will feature approximately 30 men and 10 women competitors vying for a $15,000 total purse.  The winner of last year’s competition walked off with an $8,000 first-place prize.  A qualifying round will be held on Friday, December 16.

“We are thrilled to team up with Salomon again for this event,” said Wachusett General Manager David Crowley.  “New England is the home to some of the best snowboarders in the country and we want to provide them with a fun way to kick off their season.”

“This is definitely going to be one of THE events to see again this year on the East Coast!” said Salomon’s Kale Gray. 

The Wachusett event will be held on the Lower Look Mom trail with the finals scheduled for approximately 7 p.m.  The event will be part of the Salomon United Series and include the only New England qualifier for the prestigious Honda Sessions competition in Vail, Co.  The event will also include a day-long snowboard celebration complete with demos, DJ and mountainside party.
